Thank you for continuing to stand with BCM as we serve our neighbors in Homewood. Every month, your support helps us meet real needs, bring people together, and create hope that lasts.
This week, we’re proud to highlight Nurse Crosby, one of BCM’s dedicated team members who faithfully volunteers her time to serve our community.
At our Healthy Aging events, Nurse Crosby provides blood pressure screenings — but her impact goes far beyond taking numbers.
She takes time and explains the results clearly and calmly.
She answers questions and offers immediate guidance when readings are high or concerning.
Most importantly, she listens.

For many of the older adults and neighbors she serves, a high reading can bring fear or uncertainty. Nurse Crosby helps replace anxiety with understanding. Her steady presence and compassionate approach have helped community members feel more informed, less stressed, and more confident about managing their health.
In a world where medical visits can feel rushed, Nurse Crosby reminds our community that care is personal. Because of her service, health education becomes empowerment.
