Stock the Storehouse for the Holidays!

We've seen an increased need for food assistance in our community this year. Help us fill our shelves with holiday essentials!

The Storehouse Pantry shelves are stocked for the event with nonperishable food, pet, and personal care items

The Storehouse food pantry has its largest distributions in November and December each year. In July, one of the closest grocery stores to the Homewood community closed. As a result, Bethany Community Ministries has been giving more items away to help families in our area. With the rising costs in food prices many people in our community will find it difficult in to have what they need to make their holiday meals. With your help, we can ensure access to free, fresh, and shelf-stable food items for those in the Homewood community and beyond. From Sunday, October 23rd to Wednesday, December 14th, we are encouraging people to bring in donations for the Storehouse.

Help us stock or shelves with the most loved holiday essentials, like mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, candied yams, elbow macaroni, canned greens, and canned green beans. Donations of frozen items will also be accepted, like frozen turkey or ham.

  • Donated items will be accepted Sundays and Wednesdays at the Bethany Center from 10/23/22 to 12/14/22.
  • Checks can be made out and sent to: Bethany Community Ministries, 7745 Tioga Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.
  • Online donations can be made right here on our website! Visit our donation page to give.
